In Nevada lies and dirty politics did not win!

Nasty campaigns happened in Nevada. Republican Senator (but will now be former) Dean Heller lost his re-election to Democrat Jackie Rosen.

Republican Adam Laxalt lost the Governor spot to Democrat Steve Sisolak.

For Lieutenant Governor, Democrat Kate Marshal defeated Republican Michael Roberson.

Democrat Aaron Ford won Attorney General from Wes Duncan. The Republicans tried very hard to tear down Aaron Ford and pushed some real dirt that back fired.

I did facts checks on all involved and the Dems did have a few fibs and blemishes along the way but the Republicans ran with misleading facts, edited statements and just some out and out bald faced lies about their opponents. Trump was just recently here campaigning for the Republicans. The Republicans tried to push some real dirt but wound up eating it!

One of the best spots of the night was the democrats took back the house!

HOORAY!!!!!!!

It sounds like Nevada is about to embark on a more progressive path!

Julie_Tgirl replies on 11/7/2018 10:41 am:
Nevada is a divided state, the north and the south. Reno and Las Vegas are both very different. Southern Nevada (Las Vegas) is strong union which better wages and benefits and just an overall better lifestyle.Even the non union shops there have to keep pace with the unions and that means better wages and benefits.

Northern Nevada (Reno) where they are trying to keep the unions out pay minimum wage to many casino employees and there company based health insurance programs, if one can get or even afford it, simply do not pay their claims leaving the employees stuck with a medical bill that the insurance should have helped with. It is a more suppressed lifestyle in Northern Nevada.
