National Hot and Spicy Food Day!


August 19 is dedicated to hot and spicy foods! Very your daily diet by consuming some hot and spicy foods on this day.



Common foods that are many times made spicy include chili



gumbo,



chicken wings,


burritos,



and my all time favorite..General Tao's Chicken


Some hot foods include wasabi and horseradish.



while other spicy foods are made with peppers that have a high capsaicin content.



To celebrate the day you could also buy some hot peppers and have a contest with your friends to see who is best able to stomach them.

 I will be having ~hot~ Italian sausage with French fries for dinner 2morrow. I had a tentative date who was bringing Angus steak to bbq, but he canceled, so I am on my own with the sausages. I'm not a steak lover anyway.

Hot & Spicy overrides plain old steak unless you could do steak ranchero!

 I'm not much for hot & spicy but I do like BBQ chicken. Tomorrow is dollar hotdog day at Greater Nevada Field where the Reno Aces play so Husband and me will be getting stuffed on ball park hotdogs.

You may decorate those doggies with some jalapenos! Hot dogs are so versatile!
