Hell of a weekend

I managed to be extremely productive hacking my way through a long list of "to do's" Small projects snowballed into epic undertakings, IE; Remove barn swallow nest from front porch. where I ended up having to powerwash the whole dam porch down then did the decks and patios too. Trim the bushes at the front of the house... grab sawzall and long cord to cut trees off coming up around the house & yard hauling them to the burn pile. On the way to the burn pile I decided to get the 8440 out and some chain to pull out the tree stump and get it tossed on the Maple tree stump to burn that mess up too. The list just goes on & On... Not to mention cooking and cleaning along with some laundry. I sat down last night on the floor to pet Ruby... she's not been eating like usual ad I fell sound asleep on the floor. That's how it went

It seems like the snowball effect is, in a way, a sign of maturity. Although it may start as a simple project that need to be done, as you proceed, your mind can see other things that need to be done and, rather than procrastinate, you move from one project to another. The child is told to put his toys away, so the toys are picked up. What about the clothes that need put away? The child doesn't see that because he was told only to put away the toys. A full day of work can be tiring, but there is a sense of accomplishment when you look back to see all that was done. I hope you get your much needed rest to prepare for the next snowball.

I bet you are pleased with all the work you have behind you. Take a few days to rest up. I hope Ruby is OK.

Today too many opportunities to show my maturity are presenting themselves! Putting together BLTs for lunch here with some potato salad then back at it.

She seems to be better today and is a bit more active. We've gotten about an inch of rain so far with this storm system.
