Impeach 45 Here we go with a little Soap Box Rant> > > > > > > > > > >So if you're not in the mood for political rants turn back now . . . . . . . . You been warned .. . . . . .. . . . . . My highly esteemed legal council has approved this message. > > > > > > Impeachment requires very stringent factors before it can even be considered ie; High crimes such as treason or sedition. or misdemeanors such as embezzlement, malfeasance, or corruption. The Charges of impeachment must originate and pass the House of Representatives then be brought forth on the Senate floor where the accused has the rights of representation both from personal legal council and the Senate members as a whole. To top that off it further requires 76 of the 100 members of the Senate to proceed, not a simple majority. Impeachment is next to IMPOSSIBLE consequently running around half cocked spewing it all through the media outlets demonstrates total ignorance of the vast requirements and stipulations of the Constitutional process coupled with delusions of ilconceived grandeur. With that process in mind in the next few weeks and months I would be focusing my attention upon 85 year old Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Justice Ginsburg went missing from arguments for the first time in more than 25 years. Ginsburg was not on the bench as the court met Monday to hear arguments and it was not clear when she would return to the court to hear more cases Tuesday and Wednesday, and again next week. Court spokeswoman Kathy Arberg said the 85-year-old justice is continuing to recuperate and will work from home after doctors removed two cancerous growths from her left lung on Dec. 21. Appointed by President Bill Clinton in 1993, Ginsburg rebuffed suggestions from some liberals that she should step down in the first two years of President Barack Obama’s second term, when Democrats controlled the Senate and would have been likely to confirm her successor. She already has hired clerks for the term that extends into 2020, indicating she has no plans to retire. A Supreme Court Justice is an extremely elevated personage ranking right up there behind the president. The impeachment process might be brought about under malfeasance committed by her staff in the performance of her duties while she is at home recuperating. Chief Justice John Roberts said in the courtroom Monday that Ginsburg would participate in deciding the argued cases “on the basis of the briefs and transcripts of oral arguments.” How are we as the general public to know that Justice Ginsburg has the capacity to do this? That her verdict is truly hers and not that of her hired clerks? I personally have disagreed more with her verdicts than agreed with them, however, as a citizen I demand that her decisions are unquestionably hers and not those of her staff. |

It is mt right to know she is physically and mentally able to render a verdict in the cases that come before the high court.

Supreme Court Justices are appointed for LIFE... with no Constitutional means to remove them outside of DEATH or Impeachment. She missed her chance to retire ceremoniously under Obama and now the seat could fall to a Trump appointed Justice.

Excellent blog as always. I have yet to hear a valid argument for impeachment of President Trump. Only, that he won the election and they don't like it so we have to get rid of him. It's called an election - next year. Pocahontas has already been to Iowa checking out places to put up her teepee. As for Justice Ginsburg, I wish no ill will on anybody but if for what ever reason she would leave the court, I wouldn't miss her.

Justice should always be blind, to anyone and anything that could infuance it's judgment.

Even if Ginsberg did deliver a decision and it was said to be from her, would you believe it or still question it?
