Quiet Day

I'd asked JD if he wanted to go out for dinner tonight and he said he'd rather stay home and have meatloaf....

I tossed in some potatoes to bake too. The meatloaf turned out perfect--- nice and juicy-- great flavor.

I like cream corn on my baked potato with butter, salt, and plenty of fresh ground black pepper.

I also jumped UP & DOWN quite a bit at winning this 1791 silver Prussian Thaler issued by Fredrick William II King of Prussia from 1786 until his death in 1797.

They generally run well over $100 however, this one seems to have been overlooked by other numismatists. The of Fredrick the Great is not easy to come by in this denomination.

I had my last infusion Friday so I have been pretty low key today anyways.

Congratulations on winning the Prussian Thaler; that is a real ceue. I am sorry to hear that you are in for more of Ma Nature's wrath. I took a neighbor to the city today for shopping for 7 hr. Max temp was -26c, and it is now -28c, E wind at 5 kph. It snowed all day and the streets were slippery. Believe me, it was a very cold day and had to leave van running all the time to keep groceries from freezing. I am glad to be home and will be slumbering shortly.

I thought I'd go into town myself but when JD said he needed to run in I sent the list with him. This dam cold spell needs to be cut into with as much Global warming pollution as we can muster. I have a small pile of rubbish here to burn as soon as I can dig it from it's snowy tomb.
